OLYMPIC champion Jodie Henry became the first Australian to win the 100m freestyle world title in Montreal.
The world record holder stopped the clock in 54.18 seconds, with her training partner Alice Mills sixth in 54.92 seconds.
Henry's time was more than half a second outside her world record...
.."I thought it would take a lot quicker time than that to win it. It just goes to show it is all about racing," she said.
"The fact that all the girls have been swimming so well and I just wanted to get out there and swim well, because it is a bit of a bummer if everyone else is doing well and you can't contribute."
Henry's victory meant that Australia collected three of the four 100m women's titles on offer this week.
